Wednesday after Palm Sunday, 4/11/01John 12: 44--46 Then Jesus cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. --NIV
In the name of the One Who reveals the Father, amen.
The closer Christ came to the time of His crucifixion, the more clearly He taught. While Jesus still taught in parables almost to the very end, He began to very plainly speak to His followers.
Christ Jesus is the One Who reveals the Father to us. Since no one may see the Father and live, Christ reveals Him to us. The can be no doubt that the Father loves us. He is not an angry God Who must be appeased, but our Father Who loves us so much that He would give His only Son into death for us--and this while we were still His enemies! Any time Jesus helped someone, He revealed the love of the Father. Any time He rebuked someone in His love for them, He revealed the desire of the Father that no one be lost, but that all repent and come to a knowledge of the truth. Amen.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, we see Your love for us in our Savior Jesus. By Your Holy Spirit, keep us in Him that we might be in You, and You in us, amen.
