1 Corinthians 15:12--14 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. --NIV

In the name of the One Who has been raised from the dead, amen.

There is a saying: "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." The thought is that the final result proves the value of something. So it is with Christ's sacrifice for our sins. If He had not risen from the dead, His sacrifice would be without value. We would still face death without hope.

But the fact is that Jesus did rise from the dead and so will we. The final result is that He has conquered death and brought us life. His resurrection proves it. We might even make a saying of our own: "The proof of the sacrifice is in the rising." Amen.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, Your glorious resurrection is proof that You conquered death. We glorify Your name for this. Keep the hope of eternal life before our eyes at all times so that we never fall from faith, amen.
