In the name of the Spirit, amen.
How do you get rid of the hereditary disease of original guilt? By being born again by water and the Spirit, that's how. Holy Baptism is the womb of the Church in which we are born again as children of God. When we are born again, we are born without the hereditary defect of original sin, although we still carry and suffer the effects of the disease like a virus within us.
For that reason we "remember" our baptism daily by confessing our sins and receiving the forgiveness that Jesus won for us on the cross. Baptism forgives not just original sin, but also the actual sins that we commit on a daily basis. Thanks be to God for the wonderful rebirth of Baptism that removes all our guilt. Amen.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for giving us the gift of holy Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Renew us daily in the forgiveness that You won for us, amen.
