Psalm 49: 8 The ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough that he should live on forever and not see decay. --NIV
In the name of the One Whose sacrifice is enough, amen.
This week we have been looking at the fact that Jesus is true God, and what that means for us. Today we see that there is nothing we could give to buy eternal life. That is a free gift from God, and it took a payment that had infinite value. That payment was the life of our Savior Jesus.
Where we deserved to died, where our debt was so great that it could never be paid; our Savior Jesus gave His own life so that we might live forever. He gave His own life as payment for our debt. As you struggle through another day, fighting the spiritual war against Satan, the world, and your own sinful flesh, remember that your debt has been paid to God, and you are now free from the prison of death and the domination of evil. May the simple message of the debt paid give you the strength you need to continue on in the fight. May it lift your spirit from the depth of despair to the heights of victory. Amen.
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You giving Yourself as payment for our sins. Give us strength by Your Holy Spirit so that we may stand strong in the true faith and be given the crown of victory when You return to judge the world, amen.
