Luke 2: 11 "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord." --NIV

Christ is born; glorify Him!

Normal life imitates the higher reality in many ways. For weeks we have been preparing for the Christmas holiday. We have hurried around to stores, cleaned our homes, baked, cooked, and traveled. At times we have felt like we are drowning in preparation. And now, when the day has come, there is relief and relaxation.

In our spiritual lives we strive to prepare. There are so many things that must be done. Sins that must be confessed, people we need to reach out to, wrongs we need to right. At times we feel like we are drowning spiritually. In reality we should feel like we are drowning. We are way over our heads. We are never really prepared if we rely on what we do. But God saw us struggling; He saw us drowning and sent Christ Jesus to save us. Into our hurried, chaotic world, God Himself came to save us. There is spiritual relief and relaxation for us; Christ the Savior is born! Amen.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the great compassion You have on us. You came to save us from sin, death, and the devil. Guard our faith by the Holy Spirit, so that together with the angels we may praise You forever, amen.
