Luke 2: 29, 40 When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him. --NIV

In the name of the One Who was filled with wisdom, amen.

Sometimes we become frustrated when we are not able to master something. When we try to learn and struggle through school, we want to give up. When we try to succeed in our relationships, our careers, and at parenting, we face shortcomings and failures. That is hard for us to take.

But we have a Savior Who understands all that. He too had to grow and to learn. Sure, He had a bit of an advantage, He is, after all, God. But He did go through the learning process just like any other human being would. He also had to grow from being a helpless infant into a strong and independent man.

So He understands, and is able to help us. When we struggle, when we fail to understand, help is just a prayer away. May the Lord cause you to grow strong; may you be filled with wisdom; and may the grace of God be upon you. Amen.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, You are Wisdom made flesh, yet You had to grow and learn. Help us to be wise and strong and full of grace. Make us true reflections of Yourself to the glory of Your name, and the salvation of many souls, amen.
