John 1: 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. --NASB

In the name of the Word, Who became flesh and lived with us, amen.

God is love, and out of love for us the Son of God became the Son of Man, so that the sons of man could become the sons of God. This is the true glory of God. God's glory is not that He is all powerful, or knows all things, or is wise, or eternal, but that He is love.

We often lose sight of God's glory because we are blinded by our own lack of love. We tend to sit in judgment over God and question whether He is doing things out of love, or if it is out of some selfish motive. And since we don't see the big picture as God does, we don't see the result of things. God knows these things, and so He sent His Son in a form that we could understand. He sent Him as a baby in a feeding trough to show us what love really is. He sent Him to sacrifice Himself for our sins of sitting in judgment over God, and not being loving, so that we could be God's children. May God overwhelm you with His glory, and cause His love to live in you. Amen.

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, Your love is truly glorious. Fill us with Your love and help us to love others as You love us. Make us remember that true love works toward the salvation of others. We ask this in our Savior Jesus' name, amen.
