Colossians 1: 9b, 10 We have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. --NASB
In the name of the One Who fills us with the knowledge of His will, amen.
Because we are so cautious against giving the idea that good works help in our salvation, we sometimes give the impression that we don't think they are important at all. But good works are important; they are very important. Good works are pleasing to God and are the natural fruits of faith.
As Paul prayed for the church at Colossi, let us also pray that we are filled with the knowledge of God's will, and that we may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, pleasing Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work. Amen.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, by Your Holy Spirit fill us with the knowledge of Your will so that we may please you. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
