Mark 9: 7 Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love, Listen to Him!" --NIV
In the name of the Son, Amen.
Imagine yourself driving down a dark country road late at night. You are getting more and more sleepy. Suddenly, as you come around a corner a neon sign flashes on and off, on and off. There is no way you could miss the message, whatever the message is.
So it was when Jesus took the disciples up on the mountain and revealed His glory. There was bright light and a message that they couldn't miss: Jesus is God's Son and we should listen to Him. The message was one of approval. It was one of an official stamp. When we hear our Savior speak in the Scriptures or in a Sermon, we can be certain that His words are approved by our heavenly Father; they bear His stamp of approval, amen.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You have shown us that Jesus' words are words that You approve. Help us to hear His words and live by them. In His name we pray, amen.
