The Church dedicated itself to the teaching of the Apostles early on. That is only natural, since Christ Himself prayed for those who would believe through them. The Apostles still teach us today. Their words are recorded for us in the Scriptures. Their words tell us we are sinful through and through, not just because of things we do. Their words tell us about our salvation in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You taught Your Apostles so that they could teach others. Thank you for causing the teaching of the Apostles to be recorded for us in the Scriptures, so that we might be brought to faith by the preaching of the Gospel. Lord, cause the teaching of the Apostles to be proclaimed everywhere, so that people may have salvation, and Your name may be glorified, amen.
