Matthew 13: 47, 48

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and
gathering fish of every kind; and when it was filled, they drew it up on
the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good fish into containers,
but the bad they threw away. So it will be at the end of the age; the
angels shall come forth, and take out the wicked from among the
righteous, and will cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be
weeping and gnashing of teeth.

--NASB

In the name of the greatest fisher of men, amen.

Sometimes it looks as if the church is full of hypocrites. Sometimes it
looks as if people can do anything they want and get away with it. But
from this parable we see that while the Church does gather under its roof
both believers and hypocrites, the unbelievers will not go unpunished.

It is good that our Savior told this parable, it keeps us from giving up
and thinking it doesn't matter. Our Savior will do everything he can to
keep us from being hypocrites. That is why He told this parable. May
the great fisher of men keep you among the good fish unto life eternal.

Amen.

Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus thank You for so carefully describing the kingdom of
heaven so that we do not become discouraged in our faith. Grant that all
those whom You have chosen remain faithful to the end, amen.
