John 14: 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. --NIV In the name of the One Who is our Counselor, amen.

My date planner is almost like my right arm. It reminds me of all my appointments, and when I need to file my monthly report, it reminds me of everything I have done. I have occasionally misplaced my planner for a few days, and have been in big trouble because of it. The Holy Spirit, who is God, works in a similar way. He teaches us, and reminds us of Christ’s words.

Our faith is not entrusted to something that can be misplaced or lost. Instead it is entrusted to God Himself. With God reminding us of the Gospel, which keeps our faith alive, we can rest assured that we will see heaven. That doesn’t mean that we can be lazy and stay away from the Means of Grace, rather it encourages us to make use of them because the Holy Spirit works through them. Amen.

Prayer: Counseling Spirit, guard our faith so that we may live for You in eternity, amen.
