Saturday after Trinity Sunday, 6/16/011John 4:1316 We know that we live in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. NIV In the name of the One in Whom we live, amen.
Families were intended to live together. We see that clearly in our day when so many families have been broken apart. The children from broken homes most often have their time divided up between mom and dad. Those of us who have been blessed with an unbroken home long to return to that home after we grow up and move away.
Our spiritual family is no different. We are meant to live with our heavenly Father, and He with us. So, when we come to faith, the holy Triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, comes and makes His home with us. We are never far away from our gracious God Who loves us. Amen.
Holy God, You alone are merciful. You alone give us life, and we live in You. Never leave us, but purify our hearts so that we are a holy temple in which You live, amen.
