Natural corruption, or original sin as it is called, is a deadly disease that is shared by all people. In itself it is damning, but none of us have remained guilty of original sin alone. All of us have been carried away by the lust of our corrupt nature and have committed actual sins which are also damning. In other words we go from bad to worse.
What a wretched condition we were in without Christ. But our Savior came and took pity on us. He paid the full price of all our guilt, and in Him we are innocent of everything. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us never to forget the great love You show to us. Help us by Your Holy Spirit, to flee to Your wounds for our forgiveness, amen.
