1 Peter 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. --NASB In the name of the One Who conquered the lion, amen. The unseen world around us is a very frightening thing. It is filled with demons who want nothing more than our destruction. So, St. Peter speaking by the Holy Spirit warns us to be of sober spirit and on the alert. We must be armed and ready at all times. And who will save us from those unseen foes who want to harm us? None other than Jesus Christ who went into the devil's abode and disarmed him. He is the One Who holds us safely in His hand. Amen. Prayer: Lord Jesus, the world is filled with those who want to destroy us. But You conquered the devil. Save us by Your all powerful word. Keep us in the True Faith unto eternal life, amen.
