If you watch the movies about the devil and demons, movies like "The Exorcist," or "The Omen," you might get the idea that the devil wins in the end. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Christ Jesus crushed the head of the devil, and will soon crush him under our feet. Christ was victorious over Satan, and Christians also will be victorious over him. We will trample him in the dust, thanks to the grace of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You have been victorious over the devil, just as You prophesied long ago in the garden of Eden. We know that we are powerless against Satan by ourselves, and thank you that by Your grace we have victory over him. Keep us in Your grace so that we will always be victorious over the devil. Lift us up and crush Satan under our feet, amen.
