Wednesday after the Fourth Sunday after Easter, 5/16/012Corinthians 4:6 For God, Who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One Who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. --NASB
In the name of the One Who shone in our hearts, amen.
Did you ever walk into a dark room where you couldn't find the light switch? You don't know for sure what is in a dark room. That is especially true if it is a room that you have never been in before. You might listen real hard and hear a few noises, but you won't know much about the room until you turn on the light.
Our hearts were like strange rooms full of all sorts of dirty things. But since the Holy Spirit shined in our heart with the knowledge of the glory of God, we are able to see what is in our hearts. Now our hearts are no longer dark and dirty places, they are clean, bright rooms where our Savior dwells. Amen.
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, we thank you for shining in our hearts. Keep us in Your light so that we may always experience the glory of God in the face of Christ, amen.
