Thursday after the Fourth Sunday after Easter, 5/17/01

John 3:5, 6 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. --KJV

In the name of the One Who gives birth to Spirit, amen.

Talk about a fresh start-when we are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, we are reborn as a new, holy, spiritual creature. Regeneration, or conversion is the work of the Holy Spirit, and it is no shoddy job. So, if you feel worthless or like you've failed or really messed up, remember that you are a creation of the Holy Spirit. Realize that you have great value and are very unique, because the Holy Spirit doesn't make junk. And, if you feel you've messed up, ask the Holy Spirit for the grace you need to make a new start, and trust Him to bless you with His gifts. Amen.

Prayer: Dear creator Spirit, bless us as new creatures that have been born again by You. Keep us strong in the True Faith, and prosper all that we do for the glory of Christ's holy name, amen.
