Friday after the Fourth Sunday after Easter, 5/18/01

1Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. --KJV In the name of the Unifying Spirit, amen.

Sometimes the Church seems like a complete mess. There are so many different people with so many different ideas about how things should be done. In fact, they often disagree not just on how things should be done, but also on what should be done. When such disagreements result in division, it is an evil thing.

But we all share one Holy Spirit Who brought all of us to faith and sanctifies us. It is the Holy Spirit Who keeps unity in the Church. He reminds us of what is important, and guides us in all our doings when we seek His aid. May He keep us from division among Christian brothers and sisters. Amen.

Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, You are the One Who unifies the Church in Christ Jesus. Bless the Church with unity in the True Faith so that she will stand firm in the face of the attacks of the devil, amen.
