Matthew 22:29 But Jesus answered and said to them, "You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures, or the power of God." --NASB In the name of the One Who gave us the Scriptures so that we would not be in error, amen.
It is sad and even disturbing to see how poorly most people know the Holy Scriptures. They do not read them, and are easily mislead. They hold many misconceptions that would easily be cleared up if they would simply spend a little time in the Holy Book. Even the most diligent Bible students among us have a poor knowledge of Holy Scripture, what can be said of the majority?
It is clearly the Holy Scriptures that keep us from error in our understanding of the eternal things. It is the Scriptures that protect our faith so that we remain in the True Faith. It is the Scriptures that show us our salvation in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Prayer: Lord God, in Your wisdom You gave us the Holy Scriptures so that we could know the truth. Forgive us for our poor knowledge of Your word. Fill us with understanding as we read Your word, and keep us in the true faith, amen.
