Genesis 8:21 “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” --NKJV In the name of the One Who blesses us in spite of our evil, amen.
How gracious is our God! We turn away from Him and He blesses us. We turn against Him and He blesses us. The rain that makes the crops grow and the sun that warms our earth, these gifts are given day in and day out even to the most evil people. Truly God is more righteous than we.
And if God shows this much mercy to His enemies, how much more merciful will He be to those repent of their sins? He will bless them not just all the days of their lives on earth, but all the days of eternity. Amen.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are gracious and merciful to all people. You send rain and sun to make our food grow and bless us with every material blessing we need. But far more than that is the fact that you have blessed us with salvation in Jesus. Stay with us by Your Holy Spirit so that we remain in the true faith and thank and praise You for all of eternity, amen.
