John12:48 "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day." --NASB In the name of the One Whose word saves or condemns us, amen.
God's word is the source and standard of all doctrine. It is God's word that brings us to faith. It is God's word that leads to salvation. It is God's word that roots out evil in our hearts. It is God's word that will judge our unbelief on the last day.
There is no other source for doctrine. Anything else can only be speculation at best. But that's OK. We don't need anything else to guide us. When it comes to salvation, God's word is certainly sufficient. It has the power to bring us into eternal life with Jesus. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, at times we have questioned the authority of Your word. Forgive our doubt and keep us in the True Faith. Help us to look only to Your holy Word for spiritual knowledge, amen.
