Luke 17:26-30 "And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed." --NASB In the name of the Son of Man, amen.
One of the ways that we recognize the end times is that everything continues on just the way it always has. Believe it or not, that is such a profound statement I'm going to say it again. One of the ways we recognize the end times is that everything continues on just the way it always has. So much for the "Left Behind" series. People are not going to disappear before the end. There isn't going to be a thousand years of peace in the sense that the world knows peace. Instead, life will go on as usual.
OK, now that you know the Biblical truth about the coming Kingdom of God, you should realize that you need to be prepared at all times. Every morning that you crawl out of bed as usual you should bear in mind that the end is very near. Every time you stop at a traffic light you should recognize that everything is as Jesus said it would be. Every time you step into church on Sunday morning you should thank God that He called You to faith before it was too late. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, truly life goes on as usual. Help us to remember that that is one of the signs that You are returning soon. Bless us with the gift of Your Holy Spirit so that we never fall from grace, amen.
