Psalm 107: 1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. --NIV

In the name of the One Whose love lasts forever, amen.

The very fact that you are reading this means that you have many reasons to give thanks to God. You have been kept safe through the night. You have been given another day to serve the Lord in this life. You have eyes to see, and intelligence to understand the written word. You have the use of some of our most modern technology, and are able in one way or another communicate using that technology. Beyond all of this, the fact that you are reading this suggests that you have been given the gift of faith which saves you from eternal suffering, because it holds onto the promise of forgiveness in Christ Jesus.

This day of thanksgiving in the United States is a time for us to relax. It is a time to reflect on the countless blessings that our God has poured out on us, and to thank Him for them. As you reflect on all the blessings you have, may you be satisfied with what the Lord has provided for you, and may you consider again the portion that you give Back to Him for use in His kingdom. Remember that there are still many who do not have faith in their Savior Jesus. If you are a blessing to others, the Lord will continue to bless you too. After all, His love endures forever! Amen.

Prayer: Dear Lord, Your love is beyond measurement, and Your gifts are countless. Forgive us when we become so caught up in the gifts that You give us that we do not give thanks to You. Keep us from being so caught up with the gifts that You give us, that we fail to help those who are less fortunate than us. Especially help us to help those who do not know You, so that they too may join in thanking You for Your incredible goodness, amen.
