In the name of the One Who commands us to love others. Amen.
Does God know our sinful human nature or what? God expects us to have the same attitude toward others as we have toward ourselves. We are selfish creatures, deeply in love with ourselves. But God would have us love others, even as He loves us. God our heavenly Father sent His only begotten Son to conquer our selfishness by the most selfless act there is. He gave His precious life to pay for our sin, even our selfishness. Amen.
Prayer:
Lord God, heavenly Father, fill us with the Holy Spirit! Conform us to the selfless image of Your dear Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
