Preschool (this page is under construction, so it's a bit of a mess right now. However, it will give you some idea of what we are about).
Preschool Open House Thursday May 1 (Ascension Day) from 10-Noon.
"A Preschool should be a warm, caring, loving environment to help the child transition from home to school."
--Susan Knoblock preschool director

Reformation's preschool is being started to help parents in their God-given responsibility to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the LORD.
When will classes begin?
Reformation's Preschool is scheduled to open fall of this year.
How do I register my child?
At this time you may make application (please call 503-648-1393 and if you leave a message, please include your phone number. We will call you back; if you don't hear from us within 3 days, please call again as it means your message didn't get recorded).
What if I need more information?
Please contact the church at the numbers/addresses listed on the contact us page for more information or to make application for you child.
How much does it cost?
Tuition is $1,200/year for pre 3; $2,000/year for pre 4. Tuition may be paid in full or divided into 10 equal payments, however 1/10th of the tuition is due and non-refundable at application (space is not guaranteed for your child until $120, or $200 is paid respectively).
What is the schedule?
Pre 3 will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Pre 4 will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Depending on enrollment, we hope to offer an afternoon class as well as morning. School days, holidays, etc. will follow Hillsboro Public School schedule.
How many children will be in each class?
Class sizes are restricted to 8 for Pre 3 and 10 for pre 4 so that each child receives proper attention.
How old must my child be in order to enroll?
Children 3 years old by September 1st, and potty trained may enroll.
Do you plan to expand the school and offer more grades?
We plan to have kindergarten available fall of 2009. It is our intention to add at least one grade/year. We will most likely follow a multiage classroom approach because of the many advantages this gives. For more information on the multiage approach, please explore this site: http://www.stgregs.net/multiage_information.htm
What are the goals of Reformation's preschool?
•That all our interactions with children and their parents would meet their needs as our Savior, Jesus, would. •To ensure children will feel welcome and learn the joy of knowing Jesus as their Savior. •That children will develop their God-given potential through meaningful play and conversation with teachers and other children. •To keep rigorous and frequent assessments of each child’s progress, ensuring individualized guidance in intra-and inter-personal relationship skills (emotional development), fine and gross-motor skills (physical development), and understanding and comprehension skills (spiritual/cognitive development).
Philosophy of Education
Learning is fun. All children can learn. Children need to believe that they are life-long learners and welcome as a member of our learning community.
Reformation Preschool creates a positive environment for preschool age children
in which they can express their natural curiosity and creativity while
establishing a warm and caring transition between home and school.
Activities are designed for individual learning styles. Parents and teachers
work together to support the children each step of the way; learning social,
academic and behavioral skills.
As a ministry of Reformation Lutheran Church, we help parents in their God-given
responsibility to share God’s Word with their children. In Deuteronomy 6:6&7, we
read, “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You
shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you
sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you
rise up.”
Our Gospel message is based on John 17:3, “And this is eternal life, that they
may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
