Congratulations, you have found the secret page of Reformation Lutheran Church's website.  This page exists so that we can conduct some business that isn't pertinent to most people.  Right now we are in the process of commissioning a painting, and need to make photos and info available to the artist.

We are hoping for a triptych (but not hinged) with the sermon on the mount in the middle panel. There would be symbolism of the Lord's Supper, baptism, and the keys
"hidden" in the picture (perhaps as a stream running through, a grape vine with a cluster of grapes near by, and a wheat field in the background).  We would like to seen children gathered around Jesus as well as adults.  On the right (right hand panel) would be Moses holding the ten commandments in his left hand, and pointing with his right hand to the bronze serpent, which, if you gazed past that you would be directed toward Jesus in the center panel. On the left (left hand panel) would be Luther holding the Bible in his right hand, and pointing toward a crucifix that mirrors the bronze serpent.  Here too if you continue past that you would be directed toward Jesus in the center panel.

Area for painting is 10' wide and 7'-4" from top of altar to bottom of Cross.  The walls on either side are 83" wide.  Red is obviously the dominant color in the chancel.  Bronze and gold were used to texture the wall behind the altar/cross.
